Surprise twist in Presidential Race

A surprise contender has emerged to rival the current president in this year’s race. 69 year old Kan Sing Song, from the Ministry of Sound, has submitted a petition to the Court of Appeals. It appears that Mr. Kan is set to take advantage of a loophole in the screening process by the Presidential Elections Committee.

Mr. Kan has been minister for the past 5 years and boasts a squeaky clean record. He has been donating half his celery to different charities across Singapore after every grocery shopping trip for the past 20 years and has never been given a citation. He has also won many prestigious awards including the Best Towkay Award which is only awarded every 5 years.

Speaking exclusively to the Straight Times, he said, “I am confident that the appeal will be successful. Singaporeans have a right to vote and to an elections holiday. I will push for a Monday so that Singaporeans can have a long weekend and chiong on Sunday night.”

More news to follow. You heard it first here!
